Philomena E. (Nardo) Fuda, of Weymouth, passed away on October 18, 2024. She was 95.
Born in Cohasset, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Raffaella (Andracchio), Nardo, she has lived in Weymouth most of her life. Philomena was a Paraprofessional in the Weymouth Public Schools. As a devoted educator, she found joy in helping others and selflessly supported a visually impaired student by translating everything into Braille. An avid Boston Sports follower, she loved the Red Sox, Patriots and had a special admiration for Brady and Gronk.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and cooking, and her family fondly remembers her for her famous Italian cookies and meatballs.
Philomena will be deeply missed by her family and all those that loved her. Beloved wife of the late Joseph G. Fuda, Sr.
Loving mother of Joseph Fuda of Weymouth, Patricia Swimm of Weymouth, and Robert Fuda and his wife, Kimberly of Hull.
Sister of Angelina Nardo of Hingham and the late Rose Gratta, Mary Ciampi, Salvatore Nardo Jr, James Nardo, and Vito Nardo.
Grammy to Joshua Swimm, Kayla Arredondo, Colin Fuda, Christian Fuda and Victoria Fuda. Great Grandmother “GG” to Aliyah, Charlie, Emilio, Joey, Matteo, and Danny.
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and wonderful and caring neighbors, including Ana Baldeon and Jack and Jan Ryan, who were always willing to help her with anything she needed.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A - Bicknell Square).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 11 AM.
