Phillip L. “Phil” Dow

Dow, Phillip L. “Phil” of Weymouth formerly of Hull passed away suddenly December 2, 2011. Beloved husband of 50 years of Edna Dow of Weymouth. Loving father Nancy McDonald of Hull, James Dow of Hull and Daniel Dow of Weymouth. Brother of Ted Dow of New Bedford, Leslie Franke of Marshfield, Nancy Polito of Cohasset, Twin sister P. Grace Madden of Marshfield and Alan Dow of Hull. Cherished grandfather of Kerri-Anne Dinunno and her husband Nino of Hingham, James McDonald of Hull, Christina Marley Dow of Cohasset and Andrew, Ashley and Daniel Dow, all of Weymouth. Phil is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Phil was born, raised and lived most of his life in Hull before moving to Weymouth 5 years ago. Phil worked for the National Fire Protection Agency in Quincy for 13 years before retiring in 2007. Earlier on Phil was employed by the Town of Hingham for over 19 years, where he was also a Special Police Officer for many years. Phil was a member of the Blue Knights, MA Chapter 1 and was an Assistant Harbor master in Hull for several years. Phil and his wife Edna enjoyed traveling and spending summers camping at Ellis Haven. He was an avid boater and motorcycle fan. Most of all Phil loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Cremation will follow.
