Phillip E. Steele of Weymouth, died January 19, 2020 at the age of 55 after a period of failing health.
Phil grew up in Weymouth and was a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. After school, he pursued a career as a chef and never lost his passion for cooking. Phil loved the outdoors. Fishing on Plum Island in Newburyport, camping and skiing were just a few of his favorite outdoor activities. He also cherished the annual “cousins weekends” on Plum Island. Phil was an avid music fan and concertgoer and a longtime fan of the Boston Bruins.
He was the loving son of Teresa Blanchard and her husband Harold of Fort Myers, FL; and the late Donald R. Steele. Loyal brother of Anthony J. Steele and his wife Mary P. of Weymouth and Edward F. Steele of Quincy. Longtime loving companion of Julie Taylor. Proud uncle of his goddaughter Lucille Steele and Anthony Steele. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Services are private.
