Philip N. DeJoseph, of Braintree, died October 17, 2015. Phil was a skilled photographer, shooting weddings for 11 years and construction for the MBTA for 18 years, including the Boston Big Dig project. Phil also worked as a welder and fitter for General Dynamics at the Quincy Shipyard. He enjoyed following politics, hiking and camping, and spending time with his family. He also had a special place in his heart for his dogs Casey and Rudi. Phil’s resilience and bravery as he battled cancer for 13 years was an inspiration for many.
Devoted father of Nicholas A. DeJoseph and his wife Kristi of Iowa and Anthony J. DeJoseph of Braintree. Cherished Papa of Caroline Grace and Charlie Finn. Beloved son of the late Philip and Frances DeJoseph. Loving brother of Stephen DeJoseph of Quincy and Anne Reppucci and her husband Robert of Medford. Nephew of Teresa Tober of North Carolina and Mary Wall of Roslindale. Also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)
Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10 AM Thursday prior to the Funeral Service in North River Community Church, Pembroke at 11 AM.
Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
Donations in memory of Philip may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
