Philip Andrew Delaney

DELANEY, Philip Andrew, in Plymouth,unexpectedly on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Beloved son of Miriam Jeanne Delaney of Hingham and the late Edmund M. Delaney. Fond brother of Richard M. Delaney of Ocean View, Delaware, Stephen Delaney and wife Lucille of North Carver, Christopher E. Delaney and wife Pamela of East Dennis, William Delaney and wife Barbara of Bellingham, and Kathleen Landry and husband Robert of Foxboro.

Proud uncle of Beth Moran of Southampton, Pennsylvania, Erin Shannon of Clark, New Jersey, Tara Fisher of Plymouth, Lisa Chernin of New York City, Sarah Frantzreb of New York City, Colin Delaney of Waltham, Kelly Farese of Foot Hood, Texas, Jason Delaney of  Colorado Springs, Colorado, Thomas Delaney of Northbridge, Blair Landry of Foxboro, Briana Landry of Somerville, Evan Landry of Sharon, and Ryan Delaney of Hermosa Beach CA..

Phil also leaves his close friend Angela Murphy and her children Sarah and Patrick Murphy. 

Phil graduated from Hingham High School in 1976 and attended U Mass and Fisher College in Duxbury. A forty year career was spent mostly in the food service industry with lengthy stints at the Red Coach Grill, the Crane Brook in Carver and the Olive Garden in Plymouth where he served as an assistant  manager for a number of years. In all settings, Phil was seen as kind, helpful and supportive to both peers and those he supervised. In his spare hours Phil provided tax preparation services to many.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Friday 10AM-12PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM, followed by a memorial service at 12 noon.  Inurnment will follow the service at High Street Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Philip’s memory may be made to ARC of Plymouth, 52 Armstrong Rd, Plymouth, MA 02360, or Anchor House of Plymouth, 60 Cherry St, Plymouth, MA 02360, or to your favorite charity.
