Cini, Petro of Quincy, formerly of Albania & Greece, May 2, 2003. Husband of the late Elisabeta (Baba). Loving father of Diana Xhemollari, Rezearta Mitropulos, both of Athens, Greece, Kati Cini and Gladiola Cini, both of Quincy. Also survived by 3 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, Beale St., Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 1-4 and 6-8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Petro died at home after a long illness. His lifes dream was to bring his children to freedom. He was imprisoned for six years in Albania because he spoke up for the people against communism. He payed the price for it. After prison, he and his family continued to be persecuted. Fearing for his life and the safety of his family, they fled on foot to Greece until he was able to get political asylum to the United States in November of 2000 with his youngest daughter. Donations in memory of Mr. Cini may be made in lieu of flowers to Fr. Bill’s Place, 38 Broad St., Quincy, MA 02169.
