Peter V. Murphy

Murphy, Peter V. of Quincy formerly of Roxbury. November 17, 2010. Beloved father of the late Robert Murphy. Loving brother of Peggy Sheilds of Weymouth, Catherine “Kay” Bowler of Norwood, Patsy Weaver of Quincy, Thomas Murphy of Florida and the late Mary Bianchetto, Sarah J. Russo, Michael and James Murphy. Also lovingly survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Peter grew up and lived in Roxbury for many years before settling in Quincy for the past 30 years. Peter was an iron worker for Local #7 for 17 years before retiring in 1989. Peter was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching old movies. Peter was a caring man who loved helping people during difficult times, He was a friend of Bill W. Peter had a love for animals especially his cat “Patrick”. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday 2 – 6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in Saint Joseph Cemetery, W. Roxbury.
