Peter Rando

Rando, Peter of Hingham, died February 6, 2021 at 102 years old.

Peter was born in the United States and moved to Italy when he was 2 years old with his family. He moved back on his own when he was 17 and was the owner of Pete’s Barber Shop in Hingham since 1948 and alongside with Steve Spear for 47 of those years with his unwavering loyalty and friendship. He enjoyed making wine, gardening and gifting his vegetables, and spending time at the track. Peter’s family and friends were very important to him and he loved chatting with everyone he met. He had a great sense of humor and was a very generous man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of the late Margaret Rando. Loving father of Andrew P. Rando and his wife Kathleen of Weymouth and Peter E. Rando and his wife Linda of FL. Cherished Grampy of Brian Rando and his wife Reagan of Cayman Islands, Christina Newell and her husband Matthew of Rockland, Gregory Rando and his wife Ashley of Pembroke, and 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by 1 sister and survived by many nieces and nephews in Italy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 9-11 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Burial will be private.
