Loving Father of Stephanie Sweeney and her husband Patrick of Petaluma, CA, Louise Nestor and her husband Mark of Magnolia, Maria Salvaggio and her husband Charles LeRoyer of Searsmont, ME, Joanna Southworth and her late husband Henry of Scituate, Roberta Jordan and her husband Timothy of Brewer, ME. Anthony Salvaggio and his wife Mari of Kailua-Kona,HI., Nancy Smallenberger and her husband Hank of Bedford, Teresa Salvaggio of Scarborough, ME and the late Peter Anthony Salvaggio. Brother of Josephine Libertini of Braintree, Mary Carlson of Cape Cod and Dominic & Richard Salvaggio both of Quincy and the late Grace Asaro, Margaret Cronin and Paul Salvaggio. Peter is also survived by 11 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint John’s Church, Quincy at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be prior to the Mass on Thursday morning. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Peter R. Salvaggio was born in Quincy and lived in Quincy until 1966 before moving to Pembroke. He married Mary Agnes Fitzgerald and raised his large family. Peter served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a devote catholic and enjoyed gardening and taking long walks. In his retirement, Peter and his wife Mary traveled the world visiting places such as Italy, Portugal, China . His daughters explained how his spiritual life was very important to him. They recall both parents traveling to Italy several times.
