Peter R. Hemenway

Peter R. Hemenway, of Weymouth, formerly of Randolph, died August 7, 2016.

Peter attended both Wentworth Institute and Northeastern University. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. Peter went on to work as a construction inspector for the MBTA for over 30 years. Upon retirement he worked as consultant for Keville Enterprises Inc. In addition to having a successful career, Peter was a member of the Weymouth Knights of Columbus and a coach for both Weymouth Youth Soccer and Hockey. He enjoyed playing golf and traveling, especially to Aruba. 

Beloved husband of Marian E. (Slowe) Hemenway of Weymouth. Devoted father of Daniel Hemenway and his wife Shawna of Lynn, Brian Hemenway of Plymouth and the late Kevin Hemenway. Cherished Papa of Sean, Owen and Douglas. Son of the late F. Ross and Wynifred Hemenway. Loving brother of Roberta Kerrigan of Milford. Also survived by his honorary daughter-in-law Diane McCormack of Abington. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM.

Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
