Peter J. Boretti Sr.

Boretti, Peter J., Sr. of Hull, died December 30, 2015 at age 75. Beloved husband of the late Barbara J. (Lyons) Boretti. Son of the late Angelo and Mildred (Coyne) Boretti. Loving father to Peter J. Boretti, Jr. and his wife Sheri of Hull, Stephen M. Boretti of Hull and Lisa A. Boretti of Hull. Brother to the late Robert T. Boretti of Rollingsford, NH, to Mildred Norris of Dorchester and Marie Stone of Weymouth. Grandfather to Samantha, Michelle and Nicholas. Also, he is survived by many nieces and nephews. Peter graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School in 1958. He went to work as a route salesman for the next 20 plus years before he became a postal worker in the South Postal Annex in Boston. After almost 20 years there, he retired in 2006, shortly after losing the love of his life. He enjoyed playing football and baseball in high school, as well as, in his early adult years and played football for the Roxbury Red Raiders and Charlestown Townies. He passed on his love for sports to his children and enjoyed playing golf and bowling. He spent many years volunteering his time as a baseball and youth football coach. He enjoyed spending his Saturday afternoons at the Sons of Italy hall in Quincy, was a longtime member of the Roxbury Red Raiders, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4865. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 2-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10:30 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation of your choice.
