Lobo, Pedro J. of Weymouth, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2024. Pedro grew up in Scituate and a 1982 graduate from Scituate High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from UMass Dartmouth, class of 1987. Upon graduating from college, Pedro worked for Prudential as an insurance agent. He then became a corrections officer for Norfolk State Prison, where he has worked presently since 1991. He enjoyed both playing and watching football, always staying athletic through swimming and bike riding and he loved to spend time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years Dorothy L. Foxx of Weymouth. Loving daughters Ashley Nicole Maria Lobo and Alexis Camille Sandy Lobo, both of Weymouth. Beloved mother Judith and the late father Louis Lobo.Loving siblings, Maria Lobo-Yearwood of California, John Lobo of Florida, Isabel Tavares of Bridgewater, MA, and Sandy Butler of Texas. Godson and nephew to Dakota Lobo of Florida. Also survived by several nephews and niece.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Nativity in Scituate at 10 AM. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Scituate.
