Paula Kay Norton

Paula Kay (Maxim) Norton, 67, of Chestertown, MD, died Sunday, November 4, 2018, unexpectedly at home.

She was born in Kansas City, Kansas on March 25, 1951, the daughter of the late Mitchell and Mary Kathleen Elliott Maxim.

She leaves behind her two sons, Scott Norton of Stevensville, MD and Matthew Norton and his wife Meghan and their children, Penelope, William and Edward all of Barrington, IL. In addition to her immediate family, she leaves behind her sister, Renee Fowler of Bradenton, FL; brother, Craig Maxim of Whitinsville, MA and the father of her children, James Norton of Hull, MA, where she graduated High School in 1969. She was predeceased by her brother Rick Maxim of Massachusetts.

Paula was educated at UMass Amherst majoring in English she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1973. She worked as a teacher, advertising consultant and Freelance writer, until she devoted her life as a mother.

Paula loved gardening, reading, bible study, her dog Jessie and her Christian Faith.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Chestertown, MD.
