Coffey, Paul V. of Hingham,, passed away July 11, 2011. Beloved husband of Barbara Curtis Coffey of Hingham. Loving father of Thomas Coffey and his wife, Diane, of Weymouth, Patricia Coffey Brown and her husband, John of Braintree, Lawrence Norve of Pembroke, Colleen Norve Cheney of Hingham, and Michelle Norve Reyes of Davie, FLorida. Grandfather of Katie Coffey, John Brown, Corey Brown, Shawn Brown, Ryan Sullivan, Curtis Cheney, Heather Cheney Fredette, Christopher Norve and Nicole Norve., two great-grandchildren, Haileigh Rose Fredette and Leo Fredette. Paul was born in Weymouth, and had been a lifelong resident of Hingham. He worked in the maintenance department for many years for the Hingham Public School System, as well as for Derby Academy in Hingham. He was an active member of Living Hope Church of Hanover, a member of the Hingham Citizens Police Academy Alumni, and was the founding President of the Down East Dancers. He was also a Korean War Veteran serving with the United States Navy. Paul’s world was filled with music, rhythms of the sea, and dance. He derived strength from family and his church and pleasure from boating and woodworking. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by his Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in Living Hope Church, 1075 Washington Street, Hanover, MA. Burial will be private.
