Paul Thomas Kavanagh

Paul Thomas Kavanagh, 65, of Quincy, formerly of Charlestown, died April 22, 2013 after a short illness.

Paul worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years in South Station until his retirement, January 31, 2013. He was an avid reader, researcher of history, and loved music and movies. Paul was a wonderful and thoughtful friend and will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Loving husband of Paula M. (Baker) Kavanagh. Devoted brother of Anne M. Arbuckle of Stoneham and the late Walter F. and John J. Kavanagh. Son-in-law of Margaret Baker of Weymouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9: 45 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis de Sales, Charlestown,  at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ocular Melanoma Foundation, 1000 Connecticut Ave, NW, Suite 900, Washington, DC 20036
