Paul W. Schroeter

Paul W. Schroeter, beloved husband of Judith Schroeter, died at home at Linden Ponds in Hingham, Massachusetts, at the age of 95 on December 2, 2024.

Born on April 14, 1929, Paul led a life filled with purpose and passion. He graduated from Cherry Lawn Preparatory School in Darien, Connecticut, in 1947. Continuing his educational journey, Paul attended Tufts University and subsequently graduated from Tufts Dental School in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1954 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Following his graduation, he proudly served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant from 1954 to 1956.

In 1956, Paul began his own dental practice in Ipswich, Massachusetts, where he dedicated three decades to caring for his patients before retiring. Alongside his wife, Judith, Paul embarked on a new venture by starting and operating a Christmas Tree Farm in Essex, Massachusetts, for 20 years. In 2010, they moved to Linden Ponds in Hingham, Massachusetts, where they embraced an active and fulfilling retirement.

An avid outdoor enthusiast, Paul enjoyed sailing, skiing, gardening, tennis, and golf, often sharing these hobbies with his friends and family. He cherished traveling with his wife, Judy, and delighted in spending quality time with his children and their families, wherever they may be.

Those who knew Paul will remember him for his loving nature, kindness, sense of humor, and deep compassion for others.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Judith; his three children, Peter Schroeter of Kennebunk, Maine, Nancy Werner of Scituate, Massachusetts, and John Schroeter of Grand Rapids, Michigan; as well as his grandchildren, Derek, Megan, Kate, Emily, Hannah, Julia, Andie, and Ingrid; and great-grandchildren, Isla, Aiden, and twin great-grandchildren, Parker and Ada.
