Paul S. Simonds

Simonds, Paul S. of Cohasset, formerly of Weymouth, died suddenly on April 24, 2017. 

Paul’s family was the pride and joy of his life.  As a boy he had spent many summers on Martha’s Vineyard helping his parents restore an old cottage.  Because of this he could fix anything in his own home.  He also acquired a love of the water, fishing, boating, scalloping, and scuba diving during his vineyard days.  Paul could work a room and people were drawn in to his warm and open personality.  Everyone he met was a potential friend and he truly cared for those around him.  Paul never forgot his roots and remained close to his family, especially his parents and extended family members.  His easy going and friendly demeanor will be missed by all. 

Beloved husband of Mary (Conroy) Simonds of Cohasset.  Loving father of Nicholas Simonds of Cohasset.  Cherished son of the late Robert Simonds and Doris (Cashwell).  Brother of Linda Simonds of GA, Robert Simonds of Plymouth, and Trish Newton of Plymouth.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-5 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM.  Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
