Paul R. Valencia

Valencia, Paul R. of Boston, died March 29, 2015. 

Paul proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He owned Valentine Roofing and worked as a roofer for his whole life. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed playing cards every Sunday, watching football, and playing hockey. He was even scouted by the Red Wings. He ran Valencia’s Vultures softball team. He was a funny and generous man who would do anything for anyone. He was always honest and would tell it like it is. His family was the most important thing in his life and he was a devoted Papa to his grandchildren. Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  

Loving son of Dolores Kane of Quincy and the late Robert L. Valencia Sr. Beloved husband of Karen Duke of Quincy and former husband of Cindy Collette of Hanover. Cherished father of Michelle Montoya and her husband Joseph of Hanover, Jessica Duke and her partner Carlos of Charlestown, Courtney Duke and her partner Daniel Murphy of Weymouth, and Taylor Duke of Quincy. Loving brother of Robert L. Valencia Jr. and his wife Maureen of Dumfries, VA, Cheryl Valencia-Barros and her husband Alfredo of Roslindale, and David Kane and his wife Mary Ann of Billerica. Devoted Papa of 8 grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
