Paul R. Kelley of Hingham (formerly of Billerica and Chatham), passed away peacefully on May 29, 2023. He was 81 years old.
Born in Boston he was the son of the late Francis and Ethel Kelley (Benson). Paul grew up in Quincy, MA and graduated from Archbishop Williams High School(1959) and Boston College (1963). He worked in Biotechnology for 30 years, retiring from Collaborative Biomedical Products, Inc. in 1997. Paul was also very involved in the Public Health sector and served as Chairman of the Board of Health in both Billerica, MA and Chatham, MA. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3963 in Billerica. Paul also served as President of the Chatham Ecumenical Council for the Homeless for many years. In his free time, he loved to garden. There were always lots of beautiful flowers and fabulous vegetables in his gardens.
Beloved husband of Judith Kelley of Hingham. Cherished father of Kathy Skou and her husband Ed of Medway. Adoring grandfather of Caroline Skou of New York City. Loving brother of Robert Kelley and his wife Carol of Bridgewater, John Kelley and his wife Patricia of Plymouth, sister in-law AnneMarie Kelley of Newton and the late Brian Kelley. Will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 8:00 – 9:30 in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
