Paul R. Carlson, Sr.

Carlson, Paul R., Sr. of Dorchester, residing in Savin Hill died May 6, 2013. He was 92.

Paul has been a lifelong resident of Savin Hill, graduating from Boston English High School. He proudly served in the U.S Army during WWII and went on to work as an electrician for over 25 years. He was a member of the American Legion in Mattapan, serving as Commander for 6 years. Paul’s family was the foundation of everything that was important to him. He will be sadly missed.

Beloved husband of the late Gertrude (Shea) Carlson. Devoted father of Judith A. Maimaron and her husband William of Weymouth, Donna Gajewski and her husband Frank of Michigan and the late Paul R. Carlson, Jr. of Las Vegas. Cherished “Papa” of 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members. 

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Friday at 9:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.)  Funeral service will follow in the funeral home on Friday at 11 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
