Paul L. “Hank” Hennessey

Hennessey, Paul L. “Hank” of Hingham, died April 4, 2014. 

Hank attended Milton High School where he got inducted into the Hall of Fame.  He later attended the University of Miami where he played football.  After college Hank joined the United States Marine Corps in which he served for over 27 years.  He retired from the Marines as a Sergeant Major.  Hank later played semi-pro football for the Milton Merchants and semi-pro baseball.  He was a New England Patriots season ticket holder for over 53 years.  Hank enjoyed traveling with his wife, especially to Aruba and the Caribbean.  Hank’s main passion was his family and spending time with those he loved.  He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Predeceased by his wife of 42 years June M. (Harnden) Hennessey.  Beloved father of Paul Hennessey Jr. and his wife Janet of NH, Raymond Hennessey and his wife Christine of MA, Mary Shea and her husand Dennis of MA, Joanne Weld of NH, Judy Pierce and her husband Jacob of VT and John Hennessey of MA. Devoted Pa of Kevin, Elizabeth, William, Ryan, Brendan, Michelle, and Elise.  Loving Great Grandpa of Aiden.  Caring brother of the late Elaine Bachman and Alyce Sullivan.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
