Paul J. Swanson

Swanson, Paul J. of Quincy, died December 11, 2017.

Beloved son of the late W. Joseph Swanson and Mary Swanson (Harrington).  Loving brother of Anne Marie Ruzzano and her late husband Anthony of Rockland, Marilyn Rodes and her husband Chris of Hanover and Joanne Snelders and her husband Robert “Herk” of Rockland.  Cherished uncle of Lisa, Mark, Anthony, Christopher, Timothy, Richard, Michael, Kristen and the late Lynn.  Also survived by many extended family and special friends, especially, Danny, Stevie, Rosemary, Arnold, Kenny and the late Joe.

Paul was a devoted member and enjoyed working for Work Inc. where he was living for over 35 years.  He was an avid Boston sports fan, especially fond of the Boston Bruins.  Paul was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Ann’s Church in Quincy for many years.  He enjoyed bowling, dancing and was a dedicated Elvis Presley fan.  Paul had a love for people and a smile that would light up a room.  He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.

Paul’s family would like to extend their gratitude for the love, care and support the staff and caregivers at Work Inc. group homes both in Quincy and Brockton and the facility in Dorchester have shown to Paul over the years.
