Paul G. Rooney

Rooney, Paul G. of Quincy, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 19, 2017.  

Paul was a proud Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He worked for over 30 years for the U.S. Postal Service. In his retirement Paul loved spending time with family at his summer home in Plymouth. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Beloved husband of the late Ruth M. (Ryan) Rooney. Beloved son of the late Thomas and Thelma (Moody) Rooney.  Preceded by his loving brothers and sister (Bobby, Billy, Jimmy, Tommy and Dorothy)  Loving father of Paul Rooney and his girlfriend Marty of Rockland, Kevin Rooney of Plymouth, Eileen Richardson and her husband Ricky of Quincy, Kathleen Rooney of Quincy, Kelly (Rooney) Dumont of Quincy, and the late Sean Rooney and Michael Rooney. Cherished grandfather of Sean Rooney of Weymouth, Dawne Rooney of Weymouth, Kevin Rooney of Plymouth, Kyle and Dylan Richardson of Quincy, and Paul Dumont of Quincy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 9-10 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by a service at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
