Paul G. Clancy Jr.

Paul G., Clancy Jr. of Weymouth, passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 30, 2023. He was 81 years old. Paul was a kind and gentle soul and a great storyteller.

Born and raised in South Boston. He was the son of the late Paul G. and Marguerite Clancy as well as his stepmother Helen Clancy. He has been a member of the local 537 Pipefitter’s for over 60 years and taught ‘Piping Theory’ at the Union school for over 20 years and received the 60 year member pin for the Pipefitters local 537 . He also volunteered for Toys for Tots for 15 years.

Loving husband to Danea (Norton) Clancy of Weymouth. Cherished father of Gregory Clancy and his wife Tracey (Timmeran) of MN, Kathleen (Clancy) McCarthy and her husband Kevin of VT and Patrick Clancy and his wife Lee Anne (Swanson) of Weymouth. Beloved papa to Christopher McCarthy, Thomas Clancy, Matthew McCarthy, Brendan Clancy, Victoria Clancy and Samantha (Morales) and her husband Curtis Kluth and KJ and his wife Danielle Morales. Brother to Patricia (Clancy) Therrien and the late Frederick of Orange and James “Jimmy” Clancy and his wife Donna (Duggan) of KY.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s name may be made to Toys for Tots or a charity of one’s choice.
