Paul G. Alconada

Paul G. Alconada of Weymouth, died November 5, 2016. Paul proudly served in the US Army before entering into a successful 30 year career as a mechanic with the MBTA. He was a passionate football fan, leading to 27 years as President and Commissioner for Pop Warner football and 53 years as a New England Patriots season ticket holder. Paul was happiest when surrounded by those he loved. He will be dearly missed.  

Beloved husband of Judy (Spellman) Alconada of Weymouth. Devoted father of Stephen Alconada and his wife Alla of West Roxbury and Bobby Alconada and his wife Michelle of Hingham. Cherished grandfather of Charlie, Natalia, Sophie, Sean, Nick and Scarlett. Loving brother of John Alconada of FL, Frank Alconada of Marshfield and the late Joseph Alconada. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.

Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Paul may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 55 Commercial Street, Weymouth, MA 02188 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

Paul’s family sincerely thanks the staff at Norwell VNA for the care and compassion shown to him over the last few months.
