PEASLEE, Paul F., Jr. “Bumpy” of Hull and formerly of Hingham, died Friday August 31, 2018 at the Brigham and Women’s hospital following a brief illness, he was 63.
Born in Quincy, he was a son of the late Paul F. Peaslee Sr. and Kathleen J. (McDonald). Paul worked for many years as a Construction Supervisor, one of his most notable projects being his involvement working on the “Big Dig” in Boston. He was a member of the New England Mountain Bikers Association, Friends of Wompatuck, and the Bare Cove Fire Museum. Truly devoted to his family, Paul was a very hard worker and was a member of the Volunteer Fire Dept. in Hingham for many years. He enjoyed mountain biking at Wompatuck State Park, and was an organizer of the annual Land Mine Race for many years.
Beloved husband of 42 years of Mary Ann (Gilbrook) Peaslee. Devoted father of Shayne Ledwell and her husband Ronald of Rockland, Ryan Peaslee of Scituate, and Paul F. Peaslee III and his wife Tanya of Hull. Loving grandfather of Deven Peaslee, Elizabeth Ledwell, Ronald Ledwell Jr., and his fourth grandchild, who is arriving in October. Brother of John and his wife Kimberly of TN, Timothy and his wife Patricia of Weymouth, James and his wife Kimberly of ME, and Janet Brandt and her husband James of Framingham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition he leaves behind his canine companion Jack, and his Big Boy.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday from 3-7 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 7 o’clock, in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.
Interment will be private.
