Paul F. Mccarthy

McCarthy, Paul F. of Quincy, originally from Dorchester, May 20, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Alice M. (Maloney) McCarthy. Loving father of Mary McCarthy of Quincy and her fiance Brian Whelan of Savin Hill. Devoted grandfather of Christine E. Caples of Quincy. Brother of the late Justin C. McCarthy, Edward McCarthy and J. Leo McCarthy. Also lovingly survived by several nieces and nephews. Paul was a graduate of The Mechanics Arts High School in Boston. He was a life member of American Legion and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Paul worked as an Engineer for the New England Telephone Company and Nynex for 43 years before retiring in 1990. Paul was a WWII and Korean War Veteran serving in the Army and the Marine Corps. Paul enjoyed golf, traveling and spending time with family, especially his grandaughter Christine whom he loved dearly. Paul will be missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Saturday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
