Paul F. Hayes

Hayes, Paul F. of North Weymouth, died January 21, 2023. He was 72.

Born in Weymouth to the late Richard J. and Rita N. (Cook) Hayes, Paul was one of five children. Paul graduated from Weymouth Vocational Technical High School Class of 1970. He was passionate about working on cars and took pride in his career as an auto body technician. The only thing that Paul took pride in more than his work was his family. He loved his family, especially his son Paul and his two grandsons. Paul was an animal lover and enjoyed gardening. He was a people person, making friends everywhere he went. Paul loved talking to new people and creating friendships. He always had a welcoming smile and kind words for all he encountered. Paul will be missed by all who knew him.

Loving father to Paul B. Hayes and his wife Siobhán of Marshfield. Devoted Grampy to Finn and Eamonn Hayes, both of Marshfield. Dear brother to Richard Hayes and his wife Rose of Weymouth, Elizabeth Berry and her husband James of Weymouth, Daniel Hayes and his wife Nancy of Weymouth, and the late Lawrence Hayes. Many nieces and nephews also survive him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 4 -7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). The funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 10:00 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea St. (off Rt. 3A-Bicknell Sq.), Weymouth. Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth. Donations in Paul’s name may be made to Quincy Animal Shelter, PO Box 690088, Quincy, MA 02269.
