Farrell, Paul B. of Dorchester, Ret. Boston Police Dept. died April 21, 2009. The beloved husband of Catherine (McElhiney)Farrell. Loving father of Catherine Guarnotta and her husband Gerard of Quincy, John Farrell and his wife Teri of San Diego, CA and the late Paul Farrell. Cherished brother of Virginia Brosnan and her husband Donald of Quincy and the late Myke Farrell. Paul is also survived by his extended family Steve and April Sapienza and their children Brianna & Steven all of Dorchester. Paul is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Paul was a retired Boston Police officer, he joined the force in 1955 and retired back in 1978. He served in the United States Navy during W.W.II. An avid baseball fan, Paul also enjoyed bowling and he loved to dance. He was the epitome of a true gentleman, a man of his word and a man of honor. A devoted husband, a loving father a cherished brother and a faithful friend. Paul will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Saturday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
