Smith, Paul A. of Weymouth, passed away after a long illness on October 24, 2023 surrounded by his family. Paul was born in Boston to the late Beverly and Richard Smith. He was raised in Marshfield and a graduate of Marshfield High School. Paul worked for many years in the fencing industry, owner of Fencesmiths L.L.C. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed fishing, boating out of Hingham shipyard, ballroom dancing with his wife and spending time with his family and many lifelong friends. Paul was a proud friend of Bill W.
Paul was the devoted husband of 43 years to Betsy Smith of Weymouth. Father of Paul A. Smith, Jr. and his wife Jenn of Attleboro, Stephanie Mustone and her husband Casey of E. Bridgewater and Daniel Smith of Weymouth. Brother to the late Deborah Gallagher. Brother of Susan Borth of Fall River, Laura Kendall and her husband Dean of Dracut, Karen Hennessey and her husband Wayne of Weymouth, and Stephen Smith of Weymouth. Grandpa of Brooke, A.J., Max, Lincoln, Joanna and Avery. Son-in-law of Robert McEvoy and his wife Sandra Conway of Halifax. Brother-in-law of Gail Indeglia and her husband John of Plymouth and Amber Smith of Braintree. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday (10/29) 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday (10/30) at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
