Paul A. Mccarthy, Jr.

Paul A. McCarthy, Jr. of Bridgewater, formally of Quincy, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, after battling an illness.

Paul graduated from Quincy Vocational Technical High School Culinary Program in 1982.  He worked for The McKeon Post in Dorchester for 30 years and Meditech for 25 years.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, camping and anything to do with Halloween.  He was proud of his Irish heritage.  Paul was a helper, and would lend a hand to anyone who needed it.  He was also known for his quick wit and great sense of humor.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen P. McCarthy of Quincy, his parents, Paul and Patricia McCarthy of Bridgewater.  Devoted father of Colleen McCarthy and her fiancé Adam Silva of Quincy, Kathleen Ventosi and her husband Matthew of Quincy, and Robert McCarthy and his partner Lindsay Norton of Newport News, VA.  Loving brother of Christopher McCarthy and his wife Alison of Norwell.  He is also survived by his 2 grandchildren: Benjamin, 4, and Mackenzie, 2.

A Funeral Home Service will be celebrated on Monday, November 15, at 3 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Following the service, relatives and friends are welcome to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
