Curry, Paul A. of Quincy, November 29, 2004. Husband of the late Grace (Leonard) and the late Catherine T. (Burke) Curry. Loving father of James Curry of Rockville, MD, Margaret Murphy of Plymouth, Paul Curry of Magnolia MA, Kathleen Hunt of Nevada City, CA, Robert Curry of Quincy, Nancy Greenblatt of Canton, Daniel Curry of Bridgewater, Gerald Curry of Union, ME and Joseph Curry of Wrentham. Brother of Dorothy Donovan of Lewiston, ME, Clara King of Quincy and Marjorie Mara of Falmouth. Also survived by 24 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. During the Second World War, Mr Curry worked at the Fore River Shipyard, but his goal was to be self employed. He founded Curry Hardware in West Quincy in 1945. Paul was known for his generosity and help. During the early years of the business, right after the war, many struggling families were the recipients of his generosity. He retired in the seventies yet continued to assist his son Bob at the store as long as he was able to. For 26 years, Mr. Curry served as Treasurer of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Mary’s Church and member of the former Ave Maria Knights of Columbus in Quincy.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mr. Curry may be made to Marie A. Curry Fund, c/o Quincy Medical Center Development Office,114 Whitwell Street Quincy MA 02169.
