Mullin, Patrick of Hingham May 21, 2006. Husband of the late Theresa (Martinot) Mullin. Loving father of Maureen Runge of Plymouth, John Mullin of Pembroke, Michael Mullin of Cohasset, MacDara Mullin of Hingham and the late Patrick Mullin. Devoted “Papa” of Elizabeth & Sarah Runge; Katie, Kelly, Kerri-Ann, Alyssa & Jennifer Mullin. Patrick is also survived by siblings John Mullin, MacDara Mullin, Delia Flaherty, Maggie Fitzpatrick, Patricia Mullin, Barbara Mullin, all of Ireland and Eileen Connelly of Cincinatti, OH and many nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, 147 North St., Hingham Wednesday at 10 AM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. Patrick was born and raised in the Aran Islands, County Galway, Ireland where he worked for the Postal Service and as a fisherman. He came to the U.S. in his early twenties. In the late 1940’s and early 1950’s he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in El Paso, TX. For 16 years he worked for Caterpillar Heavy Equipment and retired as Chief Inspector. Thirty-one years ago, he began his career as a bar owner by purchasing Pat’s Cafe in Hanson which he ran for 6 years and later purchased Hosea’s Bar in Pembroke which he owned and operated until his illness in December of 2005. He felt a lifelong connection to the ocean and had a passion for fishing and boating. He traveled the world, loved to dance and had a zest for life. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
