Patrick "Ronan" Morris, a cherished soul known for his quick wit and dependable nature, passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 22, 2024. He was 79.
Ronan was born in County Roscommon, Ireland, from where he ventured to the United States at the tender age of 19, bringing with him a spirit of adventure that would define his life.
Ronan's journey began with his beloved wife Mary by his side, a union that flourished over the course of 56 remarkable years. Together, they built a life filled with joy, adventure, and the kind of love that serves as a beacon of hope to others. His role as a family man was paramount, and he took great pride in being the dependable rock his family could always lean on. He stood in the audience, never missing an Irish step competition, enjoying the music and watching the dancers. Ronan's skills as a handyman were well-known, especially to his best friend and brother-in-law Jim O'Sullivan, with whom he shared many a mischievous escapade.
Ronan's dedication to his work was evident through his 40 years of trucking with Teamsters Local 25 and Brighams Ice Cream. A wanderer at heart, Ronan found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often volunteering as a Bingo caller and reveling in the vibrant energy of Las Vegas and its casinos. Despite his affinity for these lively environments, he was a man who preferred to avoid the spotlight, instead finding contentment in the company of his loved ones.
Those who knew Ronan will remember him as a man who was quiet but mighty, a friend who was always there when needed, and a soul whose friendliness knew no bounds. His legacy is one of laughter, kindness, and an enduring sense of camaraderie that will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Ronan's memory will live on, not only in the stories of his adventures but in the hearts of those he touched with his generous spirit.
