Patrick H. Bradley of Braintree, MA passed away suddenly on August 5th at the age of 66.
Born in Washington, DC and raised in Quincy, MA, he was the beloved husband of Ellen (Coleman) Bradley, and the devoted father of Mary Kate (Bradley) and Patrick Collins of Winchester, MA; Michael Bradley of New York and Christine Bradley and fiancé Tim Lisiecki of Dorchester, MA. He cherished his role as the devoted Pa to Clare and Quinn Collins. Son of the late John and Dorothy Bradley. Brother of Michael Bradley, Esq. and Rebecca of San Francisco, CA; Mary Pat Moskowitz and Charles of Weymouth, MA; Cate Bradley of New Mexico; Maggie Bradley of Santa Rosa, CA; Theresa Diao and Dr. Edward of San Francisco, CA; John Bradley and the late Marie of Braintree, MA; and Celeste McGlone and Jack, Esq. of Quincy, MA.
In addition, he is survived by several cherished in-laws including Dr. Daniel Coleman and Marguerite of Andover, MA; Dr. John Coleman and Jill of Illinois; Marian Jeffries and Ronald of Hingham, MA; Stephen Coleman and Joan of CA; Suzanne Coleman and Deborah of Hanover, MA; the late Andrea Coleman; Jacqueline Sointu and Mark of Hanover, MA. Patrick had several nieces and nephews, all of whom he treasured.
Patrick was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School and UMass Amherst. As a dedicated public servant for over 40 years, Patrick was employed by several of the Massachusetts Sheriff’s Departments and served as the Under Secretary of Public Safety in the Romney administration, as well as a Boxing Commissioner in the Baker administration.
Patrick was an avid sports participant and enjoyed playing many years of competitive rugby. He also enjoyed sailing, boxing and most recently, horseback riding. He was a dedicated coach for multiple youth leagues and enjoyed nothing more than mentoring, teaching and training sports. Patrick was also a dedicated volunteer at the Paraclete Center in South Boston, and a friend of Bill W.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during visiting hours on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 11, 2023 in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth Landing at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private.
