Patricia Shea

Patricia Shea, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024.

Pat was born on October 28, 1933, in Cambridge Ma and was raised in Houghs Neck. She graduated from Archbishop Cushing High School in 1951 and married her beloved husband, John Shea, in 1957. Together, they raised their six children in Milton, MA and later resided in Hingham for over 20 years.

Pat had a passion for gardening, reading and sewing. She loved all kinds of music and it was never a surprise if the Morris sisters broke out in song at a family gathering. Being “Gram” was her greatest joy and she loved attending all of her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. She was a dedicated member of the Houghs Neck Garden Club and volunteered countless hours at the Hingham Senior Center. Pat cherished her vacations in Naples with her family and friends. Her strong Catholic faith was a guiding force in her life.

Beloved wife of the late John J. Shea. Loving mother of John J. Shea, Jr. and his wife Donna of Weymouth, Dennis Shea and his wife Lee Ann of Rockland, Timothy Shea of Haverhill, Jean Maloney and her husband Frank of Rockland, and the late Thomas H. Shea and Susan Aylward and her late husband Jimmy. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), Hingham. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Cremation will follow.
