Patricia Pugliese (Ahern) of Quincy, MA passed away at home in the early morning of March 14, 2025, with the love of her life by her side.
Pat was born in Boston, MA on September 24, 1940, the daughter of the late George and Mary (Curtin) Ahern. She grew up in Roxbury and attended St. Patrick’s High School.
Pat was predeceased by her parents, two sisters: Judith Ahern and Mary Costa, and brother Jack Ahern.
Pat is survived by her cherished companion of ~50 years, Peter Chew of Jamaica Plain. She’s also survived by her beloved children; Christine Tardiff (Mark) of Mt Vernon, NH and Tony Pugliese (Courtney) of Kingston, MA as well as the “lights of her life”, her grandchildren Anthony and Michael Pugliese along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Pat worked as a paraprofessional for the Boston and Malden School systems for 25 years, a job that she loved beyond words. In retirement, she and Peter embraced life, cherishing time spent with family and friends, creating lifelong memories.
Pat had a quick wit and an ability to make everyone around her feel comfortable and loved. She will be deeply missed but her memory will always live on through the love she shared with others and her light will continue to shine.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, March 23rd from 2pm to 5pm at Keohane’s Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, March 24th,10am at Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock Street, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s name can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
