Patricia M. Normand of Nashua, NH, 61, passed away on Thursday November 11, 2021, in a long-term care facility. Patricia, or Patti to her friends and family, fought a long battle with type-I diabetes and all the complications which come with that illness.
Patti was born to Charles and Margaret Mucci on May 12, 1960, along with her twin sister Paula Mucci. She didn’t speak much about her formative years, but her mother used to always say that she was a fantastic kid, as kind and funny as she was as an adult. Patti dreamed of nothing more than helping people who were less fortunate than her as she grew into adulthood. That resolve shone through in her chosen professions, nursing and childcare services. Throughout her later years she was an avid student of the human mind, always trying to learn more about psychology and sociology.
Patti was a kind, loving, carefree, and funny person. She was a friend to everyone she met and had a true way with understanding people. She had an unwavering love for her family and absolutely loved being Nana to her grandkids. Patti was immensely generous with her time and her wisdom. She could never say no to a lengthy phone conversation or a good cup of coffee. Patti loved vanilla ice cream, the summer sun, soap operas, and her cat. She truly enjoyed working with children and helping them grow, she was fantastic with them. Patti will be missed by so many and will be remembered for her fighting spirit.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Moran, her son-in-law Brandon Gross, and her grandchildren Andrew and Amelia Gross, her brother Joe Mucci, her sister-in-law Beth Mucci, and her niece and nephew Sarah and Adam Mucci, her twin sister Paula Mucci, her ex-husband John Normand, and many loving cousins and friends.
Until we meet again, in Heaven. We love you.
A mass will be held in her honor at St. Ann’s Parish Church in Quincy, MA on Monday 11/29/2021 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in her name.
