Patricia L. Ward of Plymouth passed away peacefully in Norwell, Ma, following a lengthy illness on March 7, 2025, the Anniversary of her christening on March 7, 1937.
She was born February 13, 1937 in Quincy to James R. Ward and Victoria L. Ward. Patricia lived a life enriched by education, creativity and a love for travel and family. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Marys Church in West Quincy and St. Bonaventure Church in Plymouth.
Patricia began school at St. Marys School, West Quincy. Patricia pursued her education at Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree before continuing her studies at Bridgewater State College and Boston State College. Her dedication to her teaching career In Berlin, Ma and Randolph Ma over the period of 40 years was a defining aspect of her life.
Beyond academics, Patricia had a deep passion for traveling and painting. Whether exploring new places or capturing the beauty of the world around us through her art, she found it in creative expression and discovery.
Patricia is survived by her sister Helen Emmett and husband William of Plymouth; nephew James Emmett and his wife Elizabeth of Plymouth; niece Lisa Doyle and husband John of Braintree; niece Kelly Emmett and wife Emily Engeland of Brookline; as well as her beloved great-nieces and great-nephews Isabella, Molly, and William Engeland; Caitlin and Julia Doyle; and Katherine, Peter, and Jared Emmett.
Patricia’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May their memories of Patty bring comfort to all who cherished her. Patty was always ready and appreciative of a good party. As a friend said "Patty was someone who brought positive energy to every get together".
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation for Patty to be held Sunday March 16, 2025 at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home 809 Main St, Weymouth, Ma between the hours of 3pm to 5pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Marys Church, 115 Crescent St, West Quincy, Ma on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 10:30am with internment immediately following in Hall St Cemetery, West Quincy adjacent to the Church. Following her wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pattys’s memory to Saint Jude Hospital for Children.
