Patricia L. Mcfaun

Patricia “Pat” L. McFaun (Burns), of Braintree, died June 26, 2016. Her family was at her side. She was 72.

Born in Somerville in 1943 to James Burns and Helen (Arnold) Burns, Patricia attended and graduated Somerville High School. Shortly after she married the love of her life, Francis C. McFaun of Woburn, MA. Eventually settling in Braintree MA, Patricia dedicated herself to her children, family, and home. She enjoyed spending time outside either by the pool or at her vacation home in New Hampshire, listening to music and participating in radio contests (which she had an uncanny knack for winning), and was an avid Bingo player. As her children grew she returned to work as a medical secretary. Her greatest love was dedicated to her family. Possessed of a quiet but incredible strength, Patricia devoted her life to those she loved and valued time with family above all else. Whether she was hosting parties and get-togethers, spending time with her children and sisters, or babysitting her beloved grandchildren, Patricia always put others first and inspired those around her with her selfless love and devotion to those she cared for. Patricia bravely fought illness her last several years of her life, constantly defying odds and inspiring all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.

Beloved wife of 50 years to the late Francis C. McFaun, Jr. Devoted mother of Michael McFaun and his wife Karen of South Weymouth, James McFaun and his wife Cheryl of Norton, Sandra McFaun-Donovan of Braintree, and Jill McFaun-Solimini and her husband Brian of Abington.
