Fava, Patricia (Kneeland) “Patti” of Abington, formerly of Braintree, passed away with her family by her side on January 30, 2022. Pat was a graduate of Braintree High School and later raised her family in Abington. She was a hardworking, dedicated woman working at Work Inc., where she was an operational manager paving the way for meaningful jobs for disabled adults. Upon retirement, she was honored by the State Senate for her contributions to this cause. Patti was known as the “Neighborhood Mom” and opened her home and heart to all those in need.
Beloved wife of 58 years to Albert G. Fava, Sr. of Abington. Loving mother of Lisa Davis and her husband Troy of Hanson, Albert G. Fava, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Bridgewater, Christina Bermingham of Hanson, Peter Fava of Abington and the late John Fava. Dear sister of Jack, Martha, Eileen, Jimmy and the late Terese “Terry” Bagley. Cherished Grandma of 10 grandchildren and “GiGi” to 6 great grandchildren. Longtime friend of Richie and Dee Chaplin and Peter and Donna Canelli. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 2-5 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Bridget’s Church, Abington at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rockland. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in loving memory of Pat’s son John Fava to The John Fava Scholarship Fund, 120 Appletree Circle, Bridgewater, MA 02324.
