Patricia F. Stedman

Stedman, Patricia  F.  (Cheever) of Quincy, August 24, 2014, danced her way to heaven after living life to the fullest even with pancreatic cancer.

Beloved wife of George  Stedman of Quincy.  Loving mother of  Kristin Cotter and her husband Michael of Hanover, Nicole Choukas  and her husband Nicholas of Braintree,  and Colleen Sullivan and her husband John of Weymouth.  Cherished Mimi of Jack and Billy Sullivan, Olivia, Amelia and Stella Patricia Choukas, and Siobhan Patricia Cotter.  Daughter of Theresa and Leo Flynn of South Boston and the late Robert Cheever.  Sister of the late Robert Cheever, Jr.  Pat was also survived by many dear friends and family.

Patricia was born and raised in South Boston.  She was a graduate of St. Augustine School in South Boston.  She settled in Quincy 42 years ago where she and her husband raised their three daughters.  Pat was a bartender at the Neighborhood Club in Quincy for 35 years where she welcomed everyone with her contagious smile.  She also worked in the travel industry for over 25 years, most recently at Prime Travel in Quincy.  Pat enjoyed summers on the Cape, traveling, dancing and crocheting her famous Christmas stockings for all of her family and friends.  The most important aspect of Patricia’s life was her family. She adored her daughters and grandchildren, who were the cornerstone of her life.  She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Her smiling face will forever be in their hearts.  Pat’s greatest gifts were that of love, laughter and forgiveness.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 11 AM.
