Patricia F. Burke

Burke, Patricia F. (Mellyn) of Quincy, originally from Dorchester, died February 12, 2025. 

Pat adored her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and a proud member of the Women’s Auxiliary Post. She was very active throughout her life and enjoyed playing bingo and taking trips to casinos with John and Jay Lusky. Pat worked at Tedeschis for many years and loved all of her customers. Despite her struggles throughout her life, she always had a positive outlook. She was a caretaker and had a great sense of humor. Pat will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Beloved wife of the late Francis “Frank” Burke. Loving mother of Mary Swanson and her husband CJ of Quincy and Al Burke and his wife Sandra of Brockton. Devoted grandma of Cameron and Aidan Burke. Loving sister of the late Don Mellyn, Fran Mellyn, and June Costello and her husband Bill. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her cherished cat Easy. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 2/26/2025 from 10-11 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by a funeral home service at 11 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pat may be made to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
