Patricia A. ‘Pat’ (Rudack) O’Reilly, of Weymouth MA, formerly of North Quincy and South Boston, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 3, 2019. She was 75 years old.
Born and raised in Southie, Pat was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Lyons) Rudack. After high school, Pat married and moved to North Quincy where she raised her family with love and devotion.
Pat worked for Quincy Community Action as a dedicated HR/Fiscal Department employee for 34 years before her retirement in 2013. She was an active Al-Anon participant for many years. Pat valued the lasting relationships she built over the years. Pat enjoyed playing Bingo, card games, New England fall foliage trips, travelling around and outside of the U.S., playing her ‘scratchies’, the occasional trip to the casino, and spending time with her many family & friends. As an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, Pat enjoyed watching the games with her children and grandchildren and appreciated both teams winning championships for her this year.
Pat was the loving mother of Eddie O’Reilly of Quincy, Karen (O’Reilly) Deane and her husband Joseph Deane of Weymouth, Michael O’Reilly of Weymouth, Carolyn O’Reilly of Nashville TN, and Dennis O’Reilly and his wife Amy (St. James) O’Reilly of Cape Coral FL. She was the cherished Nana of Michelle Deane of Glendale AZ, Meagan Deane, Justin Deane, Brian O’Reilly and Bridgette O’Reilly, all of Weymouth, along with countless other friends & family who were blessed to know her.
Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, March 7th from 4 – 8 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 3 Charles Street, East Weymouth. A celebration of life service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 8, at 11 a.m. Burial in Village Cemetery, Weymouth at a later date.
