Patricia A. (Martin) Parrow

Mrs. Patricia A. (Martin) Parrow, of Marshfield, formerly of Braintree, passed away on April 18, 2023.

Daughter of the late John and Eleanor MacPherson.

Wife of the late Arthur E. Parrow.

Loving mother of Joanne Burke of Marshfield. Grandma to Meghan Bonk and her husband, Shawn, Matthew Burke and his wife, Kristen, and Brian Burke. Nana to Gabrielle Bonk and Owen Burke. Sister of the late Thomas Martin and John MacPherson. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Originally from Dorchester, Patricia came into this world amid the Great Depression and quickly learned the value of a dollar and the importance of resiliency. Growing up in St. Marks parish with her loving mother, Eleanor, and older brother, Thomas, she gained the qualities of strength and savviness, always proud of her Boston roots. Later she was introduced to her Stepfather, John, who fast became a father to her and she soon became a much older sister to her brother Johnny when she was 20 years old.

Later she went on to marry her first husband, John where they lived in Braintree and welcomed their only daughter, Joanne. For the rest of her life, she devoted herself to being an incredible mother who symbolized strength, courage and beauty to her daughter. Patricia worked as a secretary at the Stoughton District Court House and showed her own daughter the importance of independence and being a hard worker.

Patricia met the love of her life, Arthur, at 45 years old. Their marriage was a true symbol of love, dedication and partnership that would go on to inspire their three grandchildren Meghan, Matthew and Brian. The values of their marriage mirrored the values of what it meant to be incredible grandparents. Patricia showed her grandchildren such incredible love, support, and guidance throughout their lives.

To all those around her she stood as a pillar of generosity, always putting others needs before her own and often sacrificing the things she wanted for the benefit of her loved ones. She will be sorely missed though we will forever be grateful for the time we had with her, the values she instilled in us and the important lessons she taught about life, love and faith. We will forever carry her in our hearts and know that “Happy Days” are always sure to come.
