Patricia A. Donahue

Patricia Donahue of Weymouth MA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, October 24, 2022. Patricia was born to Daniel and Anne Brown, January 26, 1933, in Hollywood, California. Patricia was raised in Lynn, Massachusetts where she attended Saint Mary’s High School before relocating with her husband Bob to Weymouth to start her family. 

Patty worked for over twenty-five years at New England Telephone/Verizon in various positions rising into management within the major accounts division. She was a devoted parishioner of Saint Jerome’s parish of North Weymouth. Patty’s retirement years were spent keeping in close contact with her family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren and attending countless soccer, hockey and baseball games. She had a steel trap for a mind and could give you her opinion on any of the Boston sports team’s latest performance.

She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-eight years, Robert J. Donahue of Weymouth and her devoted brothers Robert and wife Judy Brown of Groveland, Richard and wife Isabelle Brown of Gloucester. She was the loving mother of Christopher Donahue and wife Lisa of Weymouth, David Donahue and wife Tanya of Marshfield and Neil Donahue and wife Carolyn of Weymouth. Patricia was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren: Kate, Connor, Bailey, Maggie, Claire, Jack, Julia and Ryan. She is also survived by her devoted dear friends and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Patty will be remembered for her positivity, generosity, kindness and her unwavering love and devotion of her family. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 2-5 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. In loving memory of Patricia, please consider a donation in her name to the ALS Association.
