Pat Cronin

Pat Cronin of Abington, age 73, passed away on March 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born in Boston, grew up in Dorchester and later stayed in the greater Boston area before moving to the Southshore and settling in Abington. Pat shared a remarkable journey making many friendships along the way. Pat's greatest joy came from her family. All will remember Pat's warmth, love, and laughter.

Daughter of the late Francis X. and Victoria T. Cronin. Loving mother of Michael Martin of Randolph, MaryAnn Metivier and her husband Jim of Middleboro, Michelle Martin of Rockland, and Melanie Camier and her husband Greg of Lynnfield. Cherished sister of Michael Cronin and his wife Marian of Weston, John Cronin and his wife Nancy of Jericho, VT, Mary Bodkin and her husband Jim of Quincy, and the late James Cronin. Devoted Gramma to Samantha, Eryn, Gregory, Aidan, Jacob and the late Scotty. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins and her lifelong friend, Pati Rubbo.

Pat's life was full of passion. She had an undeniable love for old movies, Rock and Roll music, and antiquing with many stops at her favorite store, Rose’s Thrift Shop in Rockland. Pat enjoyed family gatherings and sharing stories of the past. She was a great baker, making bunny cakes for Easter and loved animals, especially her cats over the years. Pat was a caretaker at heart and worked as a nurse’s aide at Norwell Knoll Nursing Home for many years. She had a great sense of humor and always spoke her mind. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Her family and friends take comfort knowing her legacy of love, joy, and adventure will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
