Paige Stewart Kane

Kane, Paige Stewart of Hingham, passed away June 1, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved daughter of Mary Lou (Gillis) Stewart of Hanover and the late Robert D. Stewart. Loving mother of Owen P. Kane, Jr. and Patrick S. Kane both of Hingham. Sister and best friend to Daryl S. LeDuc and her husband, Richard of N. Myrtle Beach, SC. Paige was born in Waterbury, CT, raised in Woodbury, CT and had lived in Hingham since 1996. Paige graduated from the Taft School in CT; Dickinson College in PA; and Clark University in MA. She worked for several years for GenOn as Director of External Affairs, prior to which she enjoyed her role as National Development Director at City Year. Paige was an avid runner, having completed seven marathons. She was also very involved with the Hingham Youth Basketball team’s “Knock-Out Cancer” fundraisers and served on the Building Committee for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute Cancer Center at South Shore Hospital. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday, June 5th from 5-8 p.m. in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Memorial services will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 6th at 11:30 AM in St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, 172 Main Street, Hingham. Burial will be private.
