Marella, Olga J. (Amara) of Rockland, formerly of Hyde Park, died July 21, 2021 at the age of 92.
Olga was born and raised in Hyde Park, where she lived for many years. She was a talented hairdresser who would travel to elderly communities and cut hair for those who were in need. Olga was an avid walker and enjoyed the beach and mini trips with friends and family. Olga and her husband lived many years at Leisurewoods in Rockland where they gained several life long friendships. Olga’s main passion in life was her family and spending time with those she loved. She will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Beloved wife of almost 50 years to the late Johnny J. Marella. Loving mother of Sandra Johnson and her husband Steven of Marshfield, Philip Marella and his wife Diane of Weymouth and Maryann Woloshin and her husband Bruce of Winter Garden, FL. Devoted Grandmother of Michael Marella and Kristin Marella. Cherished daughter of the late John and Mary Amara. Caring sister of the late Joseph Amara, Anna Trotta, Jimmy Amara and Guy Amara. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne Wednesday at promptly 12:45 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Olga may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
