Nunziato Minasi

MINASI, Nunziato “Nunzio” of Hull, passed away Sunday December 2, 2018 at the South Shore Hospital surrounded by his loved ones, at the age of 80.

Born in Calabria, Italy, he was a son of the late Rocco and Maria Rosa (Murdocca) Minasi.  Nunzio emigrated to the United States in 1970, and was a Laborer with Local 133 for many years.  He enjoyed gardening, winemaking, foraging for mushrooms, and playing cards.  The greatest joys in his life came from time spent with his family and friends. 

Nunzio was the beloved husband of 48 years of Nunziata ”Nancy” (Fazzolari) Minasi.  Devoted father of Frank Minasi and his wife Carol of Hanover, and Rocco Minasi and his wife Lori of Holbrook.  Loving grandfather of Andriana, Natalie, Nunzio, Rocco, Juliana, Abigail, and Sophia Minasi.  Brother of Lina Fazzolari of Somerville, Vincenzina Deserto of NY, Pasquale and Rosa Minasi of Italy, and the late Nicola and Pina Minasi.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Family and friends will gather in the funeral home beginning at 9 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 o’clock. Burial in Hanover Center Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Nunzio may be made to the Alzheimers Association, MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
